The City is currently taking applications for the Military Honor Banner Program. A detailed program description can be found at the link below. The program provides a decorative street banner mounted along Veteran’s Memorial Parkway (Taylorsville Rd) to honor those who are currently or have previously served.
Program Guidelines
Requirements
The individual to be honored and recognized must reside or have resided in Huber Heights during their military service and call Huber Heights their hometown OR be an immediate family member of a Huber Heights resident (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, child-in-law)
The Individual must serve or have served in any United States Armed Forces, and must also meet one of the following conditions:
- Currently be active duty (Active Duty)
- Be an honorably discharged veteran (Veteran)
- Died in the line of duty (Memorial)
Applications
The program calls for applications and installation during the Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day periods.
Memorial Day
Deadline to apply and order a banner is last Monday in March.
Veterans Day
Deadline to apply and order a banner is Tuesday following Labor Day in September.
