Military Honor Banner Program

The City is currently taking applications for the Military Honor Banner Program.  A detailed program description can be found at the link below.  The program provides a decorative street banner mounted along Veteran’s Memorial Parkway (Taylorsville Rd) to honor those who are currently or have previously served.  

Program Guidelines

Requirements

The individual to be honored and recognized must reside or have resided in Huber Heights during their military service and call Huber Heights their hometown OR be an immediate family member of a Huber Heights resident (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, child-in-law)

The Individual must serve or have served in any United States Armed Forces, and must also meet one of the following conditions:

  • Currently be active duty (Active Duty)
  • Be an honorably discharged veteran (Veteran)
  • Died in the line of duty (Memorial)

Applications

The program calls for applications and installation during the Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day periods.  

Memorial Day
Deadline to apply and order a banner is last Monday in March.

Veterans Day 
Deadline to apply and order a banner is Tuesday following Labor Day in September.

Huber Heights Military Honors Banner Program

  2. The Program was created for residents to pay tribute and honor family members that are active military service personnel, veterans, or sacrificed their life while serving.

    Upon submittal of this application, please review the Program Guidelines for further details. The cost per banner is $165 for the production and bracket. Once you hit submit on this form, you will be directed to the online payment portal. If you wish to pay by check/money order, please make payable to City of Huber Heights, and in the memo line please write Military Banner Program.

    Application MUST include:

    • Official military photo (High Res digital preferred, or 5X7 or larger) AND
    • verification of military status (Military ID or DD214 form)
  3. The name on the banner will be taken directly from this application.

  4. This information is for the actual banner so provide any military service you want to display along with enlistment and discharge dates.

  5. Official military photo - High Res digital preferred (40" wide at 100dpi, approximately 5mb or larger)
