Department Mission, Vision & Values
In 2024, the Parks and Recreation Board began updating the department’s Strategic Plan. This ongoing effort focuses on standardizing policies and ensuring effective management of public assets. A key first step was defining the department’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Department Mission
The City of Huber Heights Parks and Recreation Department exists to provide quality parks, facilities and experiences in service to community well-being.
Department Vision
The department will enhance the vitality and equitability of our community through the promotion of health and wellness, community gatherings, and the stewardship of public resources for present and future generations.
Department Values
Support: We orient our knowledge and resources to support the needs of the City organization and public alike.
Sustainability: We believe the residents of Huber Heights are best served when decisions are rooted in financial, environmental, and social responsibility.

Host an Event in Huber Heights
The City of Huber Heights Parks and Recreation Department is happy to accommodate event requests from external organizers. If you are interested in hosting an event on public property, such as a 5K, festival, or fundraiser, in our parks or facilities, please complete the Special Event Application.
