Understanding Our Community, Planning for Our Future

Every few years, the City of Huber Heights surveys residents to evaluate satisfaction with city services, identify priorities for investment, and shape the future of our community.

In Fall 2024, a comprehensive survey conducted by ETC Institute gathered feedback from over 400 households, providing statistically valid insights with a 95% confidence level.

Key Findings from the 2024 Community Survey:

  • Quality of Life: 72% of residents rated Huber Heights as a good or excellent place to live.

  • City Services: Highest satisfaction was with street maintenance (73%), parks and recreation (70%), and customer service from city employees (64%).

  • Public Safety: 81% were satisfied with 9-1-1 services, 77% with police emergency response, and 92% with fire services response times.

  • Top Priorities Identified:

    • Easing traffic flow and reducing congestion

    • Keeping streets and sidewalks in good shape

    • Strengthening code enforcement

  • Communication Preferences: Most residents stay informed through the City's Facebook page, website, and direct mail.

Huber Heights scored significantly above national and regional averages in 40 service areas, demonstrating strong performance in public works, safety, and overall quality of life.
