  3. Stargazing w/ Miami Valley Astronomical Society

    Come join us for an evening of stargazing with the Miami Valley Astronomical Society. When pulling into the Eichelberger Amphitheater please dim or turn off your headlights and follow directions of the Police Explorers to park at the YMCA. Stargazing will begin at 9:30 please be parked on-site by 9 pm.

  4. Rock Painting with Huber Heights Rocks! sponsored by the Huber Heights Arts and Beautification Commission

    Come join the Huber Heights Arts and Beautification Commission as the host a rock painting party with Huber Heights Rocks!. The theme for the painting party will be Dragons to coincide with our movie night "How to Train Your Dragon" on July 12th. Prior to the movie on the 12th the rocks will be hidden and there will be a rock hunt for the kids. Come and join us and show off your artistic side.

  7. Wildlife Encounter w/ Brukner Nature Center

    July 13, 2019, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM @ Eichelberger Amphitheater at The Heights

    This program requires a sign-up, link to sign-up sheet attached. Wildlife Encounter: Enjoy the excitement your children will feel as they meet 3 - 4 Wildlife Ambassadors up close and personal. Examine lots of hands-on props like furs, skulls, skins and skeletons. If rain is predicted this program will be moved to the YMCA conference room.

    Come join us for an afternoon celebrating our cities talented artists. Open to all ages. If you have art that you created please contact the Parks Manager to arrange drop off of your art. All flat artwork can be accepted before the show. All sculpture or dimensional art will need to be brought the day of. This event is sponsored by the Huber Heights Arts and Beautification Commission.

    The Parks and Recreation Board makes recommendations to the City Council for the operation of public parks, recreation facilities, and the acquisition, improvement, construction and maintenance of the parks, parkways, bikeways and other areas. The Parks and Recreation Board is advisory in nature and works to promote interest in recreation, parks, fitness, and other related activities. The Parks and Recreation Board was established by the City Charter.

Wildlife Rehabilitation: Explore the tools used to care for wildlife. Learn what to do when you encounter a wild animal that needs help. Meet 2 Wildlife Ambassadors who were former rehab patients! Each student will receive an ‘I love wildlife’ sticker to wear home! In the event of rain this event will be moved to the Senior Center located at 6428 Chambersburg Rd.

Students will see how to brighten their day with colorful foods and experience fun aspects of eating, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle. With direction from the Children's Medical Center, this class will alert the students to an alarming trend in America – obesity. Proper food choices, portion control, and exercise will be offered as solutions to this problem. This program is best suited for kids 1st - 6th grade.

  17. Huber Heights Free Community Paper Shredding Event

    July 27, 2019, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Rose Music Center and Thomas Cloud Park

    The City of Huber Heights and the Huber Heights Chamber of Commerce will hold a free community shredding event on July 27, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at two locations in Huber Heights: Thomas Cloud Park and the Rose Music Center. The event will end when the Shred-it truck is full or at 11:00 a.m. This event is free and open to all Huber Heights residents and businesses with on-site paper shredding conducted by Shred-it. ONLY PAPER WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SHREDDING. PAPER CLIPS AND STAPLES MAY REMAIN IN THE PAPER FOR SHREDDING. Now is the time to safely dispose of old bank records, tax returns, and other documents to help prevent identity theft. Assistance will be available for unloading items at these sites.

  21. Community Family Bonfire

    July 31, 2019, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Gary Sherman Park

    Come join us for a fun family night out. Bring a picnic dinner, chairs, games, and your family and enjoy the bonfire. There will be bounce houses, rock painting and other family oriented activities. We will be collecting School Supplies. No cooking of food on the bonfire will be permitted. Come out and help us celebrate the end of a successful Parks and Recreation Month.
