Comprehensive Plan
The City of Huber Heights is currently working on revising our City's Comprehensive Plan.
A Comprehensive Plan is a plan for the development of an area which recognizes the physical, economic, social, political, aesthetic, and related factors of the community. A Comprehensive Plan is a compilation of policy statements, goals and objectives, standards, maps, and statistical data for the physical, social, and economic development, both public and private, of the community.
The Plan will be developed in 4 phases:
- Phase 1- Background Information: City Staff will collect data that will be included in the Comprehensive Plan
- Phase II- Visioning and Plan Creation: Public input will be gathered and submitted to the Steering Committee to identify issues, goals for the future, create a plan and strategies for implementation.
- Phase III- Approval: City Charter requires the Planning Commission hold a public hearing to present the Plan and allow the public to express concerns, comments or questions for the Planning Commission to consider prior to modification and recommendation to the City Council.
- Phase IV-Adoption: The Huber Heights City Council will hold at least one public hearing to review the Comprehensive Plan and recommendations from the public and Planning Commission. The City Council will pass a resolution to adopt the Plan. The Comprehensive Plan then becomes the official document used to develop our City for the future.
