Mayor McMasters retired from the United States Air Force in October, 2006 after 20 years on active duty preceded by 6 years in the United States Army Reserve. His 26 years of military service included assignments as a Crew Systems Engineer, UAV pilot, Instructor at the USAF Preparatory School, C-141B Evaluator Navigator and Army Drill Sergeant. Post retirement, he has supported AFLCMC’s Simulation and SOF SPOs as a Test Manager and currently acts as a Human Systems Integration Analyst for the 711HPW/HPI.


Mayor McMasters has been married to his wife, Marylin, for 19 years. Together, they have five children:

  • Le’Zelle,14
  • Irvin, 12
  • Alizea, 7

The family moved to their present house in Huber Heights in July, 2006 as a result of relocating to the area for the Mayor’s last active duty assignment.


Mayor McMasters enjoys playing disc golf with his younger kids in Community Park and you can often find him playing tennis with his son, Thomas, at Wayne High School or at the courts at Thomas Cloud Park.
